Our vision is to develop exceptional and unique road bikes, fully customized to meet our customers' individual wishes.

Our goal is to create the perfect dream bike for every BALDISO customer, offering expert guidance and personal support throughout the process.

The BALDISO Story

Sebastian Baldauf, ex-professional cyclist and former German mountain champion,

founded the bicycle brand BALDISO in 2020.

He was born on 22.02.1989 in Niedersonthofen, where he grew up with his sister. He rode his first race at the age of 13 for RSV Sonthofen. Sebastian first made the leap into the Bavarian selection and was then able to secure his first national team appearances at junior level.

 

At the age of 18, he signed his first professional contract with Team Ista (Gerolsteiner's junior team at the time). His path then led to the Milram junior team and the Pro Continental Team Vorarlberg-Corratec. His greatest successes were German mountain champion (2014) and German vice mountain champion (2018). He has also secured several mountain jerseys in international tours, such as the Czech Cycling Tour 2018, where teams such as Bora-Hansgrohe and cycling greats such as Filippo Pozzato were at the start. In 2015, Sebastian finished 6th in the 7th stage of the Tour of Austria. He ended his career in 2018 and founded the bike brand BALDISO in 2020.

Achievements

 

  • 2007:  3rd place in the German Mountain Championship, behind cycling greats like John Degenkolb and Dominik Nerz.

  • 2014:  1st place in the German Mountain Championship.

  • 2015:  6th place (Stage 7) in the Tour of Austria, an international race featuring Tour de France and Giro d'Italia participants like Matej Mohorič.

  • 2016:  4th place (Overall classification) in the South Bohemia Tour, an international race in the Czech Republic. Overall winner: Jan Tratnik.

  • 2018:  Winner of the Mountain Classification in the Czech Cycling Tour, an international race featuring Tour de France and Giro d'Italia participants like Filippo Pozzato.

  • 2018: Winner of the Mountain Classification in the Oberösterreich Rundfahrt, an international race in Austria.
    Overall winner: Riccardo Zoidl.
